Home Lessons Lesson 13

Lesson 13 · عِنْدِي

Having things: I have, you have

Arabic has no verb “to have”. Instead you say “at me is…”: عِنْدِي كِتَابٌ (ʿindii kitaabun) means “I have a book”. Add the endings you learned in Lesson 8 to عِنْدَ (ʿinda, at) to change the person.
