How beautiful! مَا أَجْمَلَ
To say “How beautiful…!”, put مَا before the أَفْعَلَ form of the adjective, then the noun ending in -a: مَا أَجْمَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ! (How beautiful the mosque is!). With a pronoun: مَا أَجْمَلَهُ! (How beautiful it is!).

Key points
- Make it from the adjective: جَمِيلٌ → مَا أَجْمَلَ · كَبِيرٌ → مَا أَكْبَرَ · حَسَنٌ → مَا أَحْسَنَ · بَارِدٌ → مَا أَبْرَدَ.
- The noun after it always ends in -a: مَا أَطْيَبَ الطَّعَامَ! (How delicious the food is!).
- Don’t confuse it with the question مَا هٰذَا؟ (What is this?). The أَفْعَلَ shape after مَا tells you it is wonder, not a question.
